Image of the Beast & Image of God Comparison
"And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." |
|
Revelations 13:14-15 "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without aggregate into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the proximity of the holy angels, and in the proximity of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." Revelation 14:9-11 I know these verses are speaking for a time yet to come. Some say that this is speaking about a human being that will be manifested in the Earth, and that will have nature of the devil in himself, e.g. Antichrist. Others say that is speaking of a whole system, and not just a mere man. Anything the case might be, there are spiritual principles we can draw from these verses. 1. The devil has an image. Of course, it's exactly contrary to God's image.
It's main purpose - the self to be promoted and rise against and above Almighty God Himself. We know that the devil fooled many angels to join him in his battle against the Lord in Heaven and they were all cast out. Now, in the Revelation events, we see him trying to do the same thing with men on Earth, conference an army that is meant to assault the Lord when He comes from Heaven to the Earth (Revelations 19:19, 20; 20:7-8). That will be an army consisting of totally deranged, mentally distorted and emotionally destroyed people. Why? Because they will have all approved the beast's image and that's exactly what the devil is. Somebody will say, "Well, what does that have to do with us? The AntiChrist (man or system) is not yet manifested and nobody has yet approved the image (mark) of the beast as Revelation says". Here's the spiritual parallel we must draw. It's point whole 4. 4. The Bible says in (1 John 4:3 and 2:18-22) that the spirit of the AntiChrist is already working in the world. "and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." 1 John 4:3 It is undoubtedly trying to creep into the Church, into all it's structures and to respectively permeate every area of the Church life, Christian thought patterns, ways of behavior, ministry ethics, Christian moral, Bible standards and all else. That's the spirit of religion we are dealing with. Not the pure religion that Apostle James is speaking about in James 1:27. This pure religion is actually a lifestyle of hearing God's word of truth and obeying it; it's a lifestyle of being pure, holy, separated and trustworthy. It's a lifestyle of doing good and breaking every yoke of the devil (Acts 10:38). It's a lifestyle of following the Lord every step of the way, receiving His image in us and exercising His authority in doing His will by bringing His purposes and destiny to fulfillment on the Earth, as it is in Heaven. The spirit of religion and of the AntiChrist I'm talking about is exactly the opposite. It's being hearers only, but not doers of God's word (James 1:22-25). It's going to Church, but not actually being an integral part of the Body of Christ. It's being like the priest and the Levite that saw the wounded man lying half dead on the ground and that passed by him, without helping him. It's being religious politicians, deceiving ourselves and the others. It's saying, but not doing, being a Pharisee, a religious fanatic, a fault finder, seeking all the time to find faults in others, but never checking ourselves at the same time, beholding the mote in our brother's eye and ignoring the plank in our own one. The examples are endless. That's the image of the beast - the image of self-righteousness, raising its ugly head above and against God's humility and grace. Now these 4 points show the devil's side of things. But we all know that the devil is not a creator - He is a counterfeiter. He takes from the Lord's principles and thwarts them, perverting them. So, let's look at the original structure: 1. The Lord has an image. It contains all Himself, His Glory, His power, His authority, His Character, His gifts and fruit, His ministries, His dreams, purposes, intentions and destiny.
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:3- 4 "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the patrimony of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption straight through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell" Colossians 1:12-19 "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy transportation out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, looking that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one someone else in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Colossians 3:1-17 3. The final purpose of God is to place that same image of Christ on the inside of every one of us, so we can be, speak and act as God is speaking, acting and being. The main purpose - God's Character to be developed in us in full humility, grace and peace, so we can be mature sons and daughters of God, ready to enter into the patrimony the Lord has for our lives, our families, our children, our ministries, our Churches, our jobs and careers, our neighborhoods, our cities, our nations, and to the ends of the Earth. 4. God's Holy Spirit has been working in God's citizen ever since Genesis 1:1-2 when He was hovering above God's Planet Earth. In our new birth, He even came to live in us. Will we ever be able to grasp what the Lord has done for us? We have the Lord of Glory living in our hearts, straight through His Holy Spirit. Image of the Beast & Image of God Comparison |

What Does It Mean To Have The Mark Of The Beast?
What Does It Mean To Have The Mark Of The Beast?
There are many population who are afraid of taking the mark of the beast. The teaching of Christianity is that whoever does not take the mark of the beast will be tormented and killed. However, the Bible makes no such claim, and it is verily those who take the mark who will suffer the consequences. |
|
The only downfall for those who refuse it, is that they will not be able to buy or sell. There is no evidence that anyone who refuses the mark will be killed. It is only those who do not worship the image of the beast who will be killed. (See Revelation 13:16-17). Regardless, of the facts, population are still afraid to receive the mark of the beast. But what most do not realize, is that the mark is already here. In order to understand what the mark is, we first have to understand who the beast is. Naturally put, the beast can refer to either the Jews that lived at the time of Jesus' death, or the Roman Catholic Church. Both the Jews and the Roman Catholic Church were ordained to carry out the gospel to the world. But instead, the Jews crucified Jesus, and the Roman Catholic Church persecuted and martyred many Christians. As a result, both of them can be referred to as the beast. So then, to have the mark of the beast, Naturally means to have a similar character as the beast. It Naturally means to go against the teachings of Jesus, or to persecute the true believers. The three sixes are not yet completed, but they are being put together. And once everything is in place, then no one will be able to buy or sell unless they have the mark. It is appealing to note that the mark of the beast can be taken either on the forehead, or on the right hand. This is symbolic language which translates into thoughts and actions. To receive the mark of the beast on the forehead, Naturally means that one serves the beast within the mind. This could be negative thoughts towards someone else person, anger or even living in fantasy. With a wicked thought life, the someone can still look righteous on the outside, as the mark is within the mind. Taking the mark on the right hand, however, will make the wickedness visible to everyone around. In this case, the individual might engage in gross sins such as stealing, adultery, murder or other criminal acts. In light of this definition, the mark of the beast verily is not that scary. No one will be forced to take it, but rather, it is something that population voluntarily engage in. Yes, Revelation says that the beast will cause men to take the mark, but it does not mean that it will force them to do so. What Does It Mean To Have The Mark Of The Beast? |
LG U990 Viewty also Known as LG Viewty Ku990 on 3 Network
LG U990 Viewty also Known as LG Viewty Ku990 on 3 Network
Model name recognition can be a big stumbling block for the not so savvy consumer when looking to buy a new mobile phone, especially when researching online. |
|
A good trick that potential customers tend to use is to search for the exact product name or code using a search engine to compare prices from different retailers from the organic results listed, this method is obviously to try and get the very best deal on the new product but what if that product is known by other names? There is then the problem that the consumer is not aware that the product is known by other descriptions and so may not always be getting the best deal. This applies in particular to mobile phones as rumour websites often use information gained from the body that approves new models which is sometimes changed after the product has been approved, the problem is that the websites publishing this information are then used by bloggers and other interested parties to write their own articles, the model names then circulate and make their way into the public domain where the general public then start to converse about these new models. When the model then comes to be released the manufacturer then assigns a new model name as do different networks, a typical example of this is a manufacturer called HTC who provide handsets to the UK networks. They had a model called the TyTN that was then renamed as the SPV M3100 by Orange, XDA Trion by O2 and MDA Vario II by T-Mobile so you can see where there may be some confusion. This has happened again recently with the launch of the new LG KU990, the many different names of this new device are: LG U990 LG Viewty LG KU990 LG NYX All very confusing and all the same mobile phone. For the purposes of this article I am going to refer to this model as the LG Viewty, it is a new touchscreen operated handset that incorporates a 5.0 megapixel camera, the camera has a zoom function for close up picture taking, a built-in flash unit for poor light conditions and video supports for recording and playing back short video clips. It is a 3G enabled device which allows for fast download speeds of new mobile content such as ringtones, games, themes and wallpapers as well as streaming video of the latest news headlines, movie trailers and music videos.
The LG Viewty has a new feature that has not been seen in a mobile phone before, it is full YouTube support, this new service allows users to record video clips on their mobile phone and then add some text before uploading directly to the YouTube website from the handset without the need to plug into a computer. The advice would be that to get the right price for a new mobile phone is to research the handset thoroughly and find out all of the different model names, search for these names in a search engine and compare the various deals, pop into the local mobile phone shop and ask them how the handset might otherwise be known and again compare prices.

Anti Aging Moisturizer - Use Virgin Coconut Oil As the Natural Anti Aging Moisturizer For Your Skin
People are willing to spend thousands of dollars on treatments and anti-aging products to look young and stay young. Many skin care companies claim they have found perfect solution for the skin aging problem. It is quite difficult for regular consumers to determine which one actually gives the best results. |
|
Many anti-aging products by brand name companies contain ingredients or chemicals that can be harmful to your skin in the long run and might also produce side effects. This is one of the many reasons good quality natural anti-aging products are becoming more popular. A particular natural anti-aging products which has gotten the attention of many people is Virgin Coconut Oil. Applying virgin coconut oil on your skin helps to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells and makes your skin smooth and soft. It also helps to treat premature aging, wrinkling of the skin, prevent skin cancer, degenerative diseases, heart diseases, arthritis, cancer and diabetes. It is also a powerful healing agent because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-neuralgic, antibiotic and antioxidant properties. No wonder this oil is regarded by many as a wonderful healing agent on the skin and other diseases also. Virgin Coconut Oil has high level of antioxidants, which penetrates deep into the skin and fights free radicals and formation of wrinkles. When the skin loses its elasticity, the signs of aging appear in the form of wrinkles. Virgin Coconut Oil helps the skin to maintain its elasticity, which is vital for skin to remain young and firm. It is considered one of the best natural oil for skin lotions. When applied on the skin it penetrates deep into the cell structure of the connective tissues. It keeps the connective tissues tough and flexible thus slow down the skin aging process. It is one of the nature's most natural and effective anti-aging product. It is also a very effective skin moisturizer. It keeps the skin hydrated and well nourished by maintaining the moisture, giving your skin a youthful appearance. When shopping for coconut oil, make sure to choose organic unrefined virgin coconut oil. Many commercial grade coconut oils are made from copra, the dried meat of the coconut. Using the Copra method allows the company to create more oil. However, since most of the copra is dried under the sun in the open air, they are exposed to moulds and insects. As a result, companies have to refine, bleach, and deodorize them with high heat and chemical before they can sell the final products. The healing powers and the natural smell of coconut oil are removed in the refine process. This oil is also often hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated. Studies have shown hydrogenated oils can increase serum cholesterol levels, which contribute to heart disease. Therefore, it is very important to make sure to look for unrefined virgin coconut oil when you are shopping for one. Best of all, they should be organically grown without using any pesticide. Organic virgin coconut oil is higher quality and tends to be a little more expensive. However, it is worth the extra money to get the most benefits for your skin. Lord Byron's "She Walks in Beauty"
Lord Byron's "She Walks in Beauty"
Lord Byron's opening couplet to "She Walks In Beauty" is among the most memorable and most quoted lines in romantic poetry. The opening lines are effortless, graceful, and beautiful, a fitting match for his poem about a woman who possesses effortless grace and beauty. |
|
Life in England Lord Byron was born George Gordon Noel Byron in London in 1788. He became a Lord in 1798 when he inherited the title and the estate of his great-uncle. Byron's mother had taken him to Scotland for treatment for his club foot, but she brought him back to England to claim the title and the estate. Byron was privately tutored in Nottingham for a short period. He then studied in Harrow, Southwell, and Newstead, and finally at Trinity College. Byron discovered a talent for writing poetry and published some early poems in 1806 and his first collection, called Hours of Idleness, in 1807 at the age of 19. When he turned age 21 he was able to take his seat in the House of Lords. However, Lord Byron left England for two years with his friend, John Hobhouse, to travel through Europe. They toured Spain, Malta, Greece, and Constantinople. Greece especially impressed Byron and would create a recurring theme in his life. After returning to England Lord Byron made his first speech to the House of Lords. Later that year he published a "poetic travelogue" titled, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, a respectable collection of verses about his recent travels in Europe. The collection earned Lord Byron lasting fame and admiration. Lord Byron had become a ladies' man and the newly earned celebrity brought him a series of affairs and courtships. Lord Byron married Anna Isabella Milbanke in 1815 and his daughter, Augusta, was born later that year. However, the marriage did not last long. In early 1816 Anna and Augusta left Lord Byron and later that year he filed for legal separation and left England for Switzerland, a self-imposed exile. Life in Europe While in Switzerland Lord Byron stayed with Percy Bysshe Shelley, a prominent metaphysical and romantic poet, and had an illegitimate daughter, Allegra, with Claire Clairmont. After that affair ended, Lord Byron and his friend, John Hobhouse traveled through Italy, settling first in Venice, where he had a couple more affairs, including an affair with the nineteen year old Countess Teresa Guicciolo. Here Lord Byron began his most famous and most acclaimed work, the epic poem Don Juan. Lord Byron and Teresa moved to Ravenna, then to Pisa, and then to Leghorn, near Shelley's house, in 1821. The poet Leigh Hunt moved in with Lord Byron later that year after Shelley drowned off the coast near Leghorn in a storm. Lord Byron contributed poetry to Hunt's periodical, The Liberal, until 1823 when he took the opportunity to travel to Greece to act as an agent for the Greeks in their war against Turkey. Lord Byron used his personal finances to help fund some of the battles by the Greeks against the Turks. He even commanded a force of three thousand men in an attack on the Turkish-held fortress of Lepanto. The siege was unsuccessful and the forces withdrew. At this time Lord Byron suffered one or two epileptic fits. The remedy of the day, blood-letting, weakened him. Six weeks later, during a particularly chilly rainstorm, Lord Byron contracted a severe cold. The accompanying fever was treated by repeated bleeding by trusted physicians, but his condition worsened until he eventually slipped into a coma and died on April 19, 1824. Lord Byron was a hero in Greece and was deeply mourned there. His heart was buried in Greece and his body was sent to England where it was buried in the family vault near Newstead. He was denied burial in Westminster Abbey because of the perceived immorality of his life and numerous controversies. Finally in 1969, 145 years after his death, a memorial was placed in the Poets' Corner of Westminster Abbey, commemorating his poetry and accomplishments. Shortly after his arrival in Greece, Lord Byron had written these appropriate lines. "Seek out--less often sought than found-- A soldier's grave--for thee the best Then look around, and choose thy ground, And take thy rest." An interesting and exceptional biography of Lord Byron's life was written in 1830 by a contemporary and friend, John Galt, titled, The Life of Lord Byron. The 49 chapters give a good measure of Lord Byron's complexity. "She Walks in Beauty" In June, 1814, several months before he met and married his first wife, Anna Milbanke, Lord Byron attended a party at Lady Sitwell's. While at the party, Lord Byron was inspired by the sight of his cousin, the beautiful Mrs. Wilmot, who was wearing a black spangled mourning dress. Lord Byron was struck by his cousin's dark hair and fair face, the mingling of various lights and shades. This became the essence of his poem about her. According to his friend, James W. Webster, "I did take him to Lady Sitwell's party in Seymour Road. He there for the first time saw his cousin, the beautiful Mrs. Wilmot. When we returned to his rooms in Albany, he said little, but desired Fletcher to give him a tumbler of brandy, which he drank at once to Mrs. Wilmot's health, then retired to rest, and was, I heard afterwards, in a sad state all night. The next day he wrote those charming lines upon her--She walks in Beauty like the Night..." The poem was published in 1815. Also in that year Lord Byron wrote a number of songs to be set to traditional Jewish tunes by Isaac Nathan. Lord Byron included "She Walks in Beauty" with those poems. She Walks in Beauty 1 She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. 2 One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impair'd the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place. 3 And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent! Discussion of the Poem The first couple of lines can be confusing if not read properly. Too often readers stop at the end of the first line where there is no punctuation. This is an enjambed line, meaning that it continues without pause onto the second line. That she walks in beauty like the night may not make sense as night represents darkness. However, as the line continues, the night is a cloudless one with bright stars to create a beautiful mellow glow. The first two lines bring together the opposing qualities of darkness and light that are at play throughout the three verses. The remaining lines of the first verse employ another set of enjambed lines that tell us that her face and eyes combine all that's best of dark and bright. No mention is made here or elsewhere in the poem of any other physical features of the lady. The focus of the vision is upon the details of the lady's face and eyes which reflect the mellowed and tender light. She has a remarkable quality of being able to contain the opposites of dark and bright. The third and fourth lines are not only enjambed, but the fourth line begins with an irregularity in the meter called a metrical substitution. The fourth line starts with an accented syllable followed by an unaccented one, rather than the iambic meter of the other lines, an unaccented syllable followed by an accented one. The result is that the word "Meet" receives attention, an emphasis. The lady's unique feature is that opposites "meet" in her in a wonderful way. The second verse tells us that the glow of the lady's face is nearly perfect. The shades and rays are in just the right proportion, and because they are, the lady possesses a nameless grace. This conveys the romantic idea that her inner beauty is mirrored by her outer beauty. Her thoughts are serene and sweet. She is pure and dear. The last verse is split between three lines of physical description and three lines that describe the lady's moral character. Her soft, calm glow reflects a life of peace and goodness. This is a repetition, an emphasis, of the theme that the lady's physical beauty is a reflection of her inner beauty. Lord Byron greatly admired his cousin's serene qualities on that particular night and he has left us with an inspired poem. The poem was written shortly before Lord Byron's marriage to Anna Milbanke and published shortly after the marriage. Lord Byron's "She Walks in Beauty" |

An Overview of Modern Architectural Design
An Overview of Modern Architectural Design
In the world of architectural design, there are some relatively new concepts that have emerged as consumers want more choices for their buildings and homes. Architectural style continues to grow as the world changes. People, or at least some individuals, want modern and technologically advanced buildings furnished with an interior design that rivals a scene right out of the Jetsons cartoon. |
|
Architects must stay on top of growing trends if they want to continue doing business in this fast paced world. Staying abreast of technological advances, protecting the environment, and all the while saving money, are the key ingredients to the good life in architecture. Of course, all students of architecture are familiar with the new modern styles of design. Instead of the classical arches and intricate decorating of the classical and medieval periods, the modern works feature clean lines and a lack of the well-known detail that marked their predecessor's ideas of architectural design. A great example of a modern form at its best is Fallingwaters by Frank Lloyd Wright, in Pennsylvania. He has other well known architectural designs but this one seems to be the one most copied and admired for homes. Architects are also turning green. No, they are not turning into the incredible hulk. They are designing "green" homes and buildings that conserve energy and help save our Earth's natural resources. Many of the structural components are made from recycled materials and are environmentally friendly. They require less upkeep and energy to run. Solar panels are installed to help with heating and cooling costs. Architectural design has left the medieval age of design and has embraced the sleek lines of steel and concrete into the urban jungle. Concrete is the new tile and the old Formica countertops in homes are now stainless steel that reflect the beauty of the polished silver beams stretched out across the ceiling. As technology moves forward, so too will the design styles of architects. There will be a greater abundance of students studying Modern and Green architecture across the world. How to Create a Website For Your Beauty Salon
How to Create a Website For Your Beauty Salon
Your website can contribute to the marketing mix of the common Four P's - price, place, product and promotion. You can proportion these elements as you see fit in your website, depending upon what you want from the final outcome. |
|
So let's get down to business on how to create that perfect website for your beauty salon and get those customers queuing up around the block. 1. First of all, get yourself a website builder. There are many of them out there online and they offer a range of free options, with additional add ons. The website creator tool will allow you to create your own professional looking website within moments and you will be part of the World Wide Web, selling your wares to an audience as big as you want it to be. Update it anytime you need to and make sure you tell people where to find you. Be visible! 2. You'll want to include in your website a 'products and prices' page so that your customers know how much you will charge them before they book with you. And make sure you've done your homework so that your prices are competitive. Maybe offer something unique - a few specials. Keep this page up to date as paying customers will hold you to it! 3. Including some positive video footage of staff at work in your salon would be a useful addition to one of your web pages so that potential customers can interact with your site and see for themselves the look and feel of your boutique and what they can expect from the whole beauty experience. Show them how special they could feel if they came to your salon. 4. Your website may also want to include testimonials and customer reviews. This could be an area where they can leave feedback about the service they received from you. You can monitor it to make sure that nothing untoward is posted and the positive feedback will be a great referral marketing tool for future custom. 5. A gallery - now what could be better for a salon website than photos of what you can offer in terms of treatments and so on? Pictures of happy clients or even models showing off your fantastic expertise. This could turn out to be your main seller and visual aids are always more effective for this sort of service than walls of text. Splash them with lots of colours that capture the essence of relaxation and all things beautiful. How to Create a Website For Your Beauty Salon |

The Mark of the Beast - The Bible Antichrist
The Mark of the Beast - The Bible Antichrist
The Bible tells us that a diabolically clever dictator called the Antichrist will appear in the Last Days and swiftly rise to power until he rules all the nations of the earth. The book of Revelation says that once he has reached the peak of his power, the Antichrist will attempt to force everybody in the world to receive the Mark of the Beast in their right hand or in their forehead. No one will be able to hold a job or buy or sell whatever if they don't have the mark, or the name of the beast, or the whole of his name, and his whole is 666. (See Revelation 13:16-18.) |
|
Many population have heard about these things and frankly, they hope that they're not true. They surely do not want the world to come to an end. But they can't escape the niggling feeling that something catastrophic will happen in the near future. Maybe they're at the point of relinquishment but are now wondering whether they'll literally be able to retire as planned. Others are just starting their career and their dreams are already being dashed or downgraded. The hypothesize for this is that the recession of 2007-2009 has devastated financial institutions, stock markets and even governments. On a personal level, it has gutted many families' savings and speculation portfolios, and hundreds of thousands have lost their homes. The International Labor assosication foreseen, that by the end of 2009, 20 million jobs around the world would have been lost. The recession has lifted in many areas, but it will take years to recuperate from the immense damage, not financially but psychologically-for it has shaken many people's belief in any kind of financial security. For many people, the questions that won't go away are: "When will the next economic earthquake hit? And will it be the one that takes everything down?" A large whole of Christians believe that whether it happens sooner or later, that yes, the global economic principles must crash, leaving the earth in a state of near-anarchy. Then when the Antichrist rises and offers his "666 solution," population will be so destitute that they'll be willing to accept his Mark in their right hand or forehead-if only he will restore order and financial security. For the first time in history, the technology is now in place for the Mark of the Beast to become a reality. Mankind now has the capability to implant a microchip under the skin of human beings that would serve as both a personal identification whole and a debit/credit card. Microchips that serve as identifying integrated circuits are now routinely implanted under the skin of pets and farm animals, and the chip is only as big as a large grain of rice. It would make good "sense" in a time of unprecedented financial chaos to originate a world currency, stop prestige card theft and identity theft by implementing a high-tech microchip program, linked to computers around the world. That whole of personal facts in the hands of Big Brother would mean the end of leisure as we now know it, but desperate population are willing to give up much. Billions of population will accept the Mark, especially given the fact that they won't be able to hold a job or buy or sell without it. But receiving the Mark of the Beast is part and parcel of worshiping the Antichrist, and the Bible states that the punishment for worshiping this Devil-man and receiving his Mark is to be sent to hell (Rev. 14:9-11). When that day comes, billions of population will be faced with a choice: to receive the Mark and worship the Antichrist or succeed Jesus' admonition to flee into the hills. (See Matthew 24:15-16.) It will surely pay to be prepared! The Mark of the Beast - The Bible Antichrist |
What Is the Difference Between Japanese Anime and American Cartoons?
What Is the Difference Between Japanese Anime and American Cartoons?
Japanese Anime and American cartoons are similar in the sense that they're both animated features. However, a lot of people argue that they are not at all the same. Let's cite the top XXX differences between these two. |
|
The Storyline. American cartoons are best described as targeting a younger demographic. They usually feature a relatively simple story that is easy for kids to follow. Even feature-length animated movies from media giants still feature relatively simple plots, as show by their biggest films like Disney and Pixar's "Toy Story" and Dreamworks' "Shrek" series. Japanese Anime, on the other hand, caters not only to kids but also to an adult audience as well. Actually, there are some anime series that are not meant for a young audience at all. For example, the Isao Takahata's "Grave of the Fireflies" revolves around the life of two Japanese children caught in the middle of World War II Japan. The story involves the children's death from starvation. The Characters. Japanese Anime creators have the habit of endowing a real personality to an otherwise bland character. Usually, features of this genre are best described as having multiple protagonists who possess unique personas. For example, the series Masashi Kishimoto's "Naruto" and Tite Kubo's "Bleach" feature more than thirty protagonists each, without causing confusion among its viewers. On the other hand, American cartoons usually center on just a few characters, possibly in keeping with their aim of avoiding confusion among its youthful audience. To illustrate, Disney's fairy tale films like "Sleeping Beauty", "Beauty and the Beast", and "Mulan", all center on a single character and whose other protagonists serve only as accessories to propagate the plot. The Animation. Japanese Anime uses more advanced techniques in the sense that only in Japanese anime will one see realistic illusions of fast and abrupt movements. For example, fighting anime features like Yoshihiro Togashi's "Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Files)" or even the Satoshi Tajiri's kid-centered "Pokemon" show fight scenes that provoke an illusion of real-life impact and speed. On the other hand, American cartoons are increasingly becoming more reliant on computer-generated graphics that are, unfortunately, limited as of now. CG graphics are not very cost-efficient in showing quick character movements, as they focus more on fluid motion to counteract the computer's tendency to make the characters' moves look too robotic and unnatural. All in all, this does not necessarily imply that American cartoons are inferior to Japanese anime. Instead, it just shows that the genre appeals to a wider market in Japan as compared to the US, which means that funding for the former is heftier than the latter. Teak Wood Flooring Adds Timeless Beauty
Teak Wood Flooring Adds Timeless Beauty
Hardwood floors are a great choice for any home. It adds a solid, warm, and timeless feel to any home, and installing hardwoods is a great way to improve any room, or an entire home. Teak wood flooring is especially exceptional as far as both quality and appearance go. |
|
It is a kind of hardwood that is known for its durability, weather resistant qualities and it cannot be easily invaded by insects and parasites that can possibly destroy the wood. There are even some varieties that are acid and fire resistant. This is mainly due to the natural oils that are within the wood. Teak is among those that are chosen to be the best wooden material for building just about anything. Teak is also coveted for its natural beauty. It requires no staining or additional color to be added, and doing so would actually hinder its ability to repel both insects and water because it locks in its natural oils. It comes in a variety of warm colors from a golden yellow tan, to a deep reddish brown. Oiling is not necessary, but can be used to bring the colors out more, and more specifically to show off teak's beautiful natural color patterns and variations. There are several types of teak flooring that includes Burmese, Brazilian and golden teak flooring. Like any other wood flooring, teak does need a little care and attention for it to last for a lifetime. Poor maintenance would mean destroying your precious flooring. Frequent sweeping and mopping will be all it takes to protect it from stains and damages. Eventually teak will begin to turn a grayish color; this is perfectly natural and doesn't affect the strength of the wood. If you don't like this coloration, you can use a teak cleaner which will remove the upper layers, and return the original natural colors. Though this kind of flooring is a little bit costly, it is worth the price because of its very long usability and the homey feeling that it gives out. It adds a simple but attention grabbing and timeless beauty to any home. Teak Wood Flooring Adds Timeless Beauty |

beloved Adult Couples Costumes
One of the most fun things about Halloween as a merge is dressing up for a party. As a merge you can choose a complimentary costume ideal for a pair, not simply a singular person. This is a romantic, silly and sometimes sweet thing to do. Selecting a couples costume can be a great way to express your merge personality at a Halloween party. There are many favorite Halloween costumes for couples. |
|
Romantic couples are a very favorite option when it comes to Halloween costumes for couples. Look to the classics like Romeo and Juliet or even Disney's Beauty and The Beast. Or Cinderella and The Prince. Or Snow White and The Prince. A romantic merge is often a fun fantasy especially for the woman partner of the merge who will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Sometimes couples costumes are cute when you are pairs of something. One of the classics is when the two of you originate an animal, with one of you being the front and the other being the back. But there are many other things to be other than animals! Try mustard and ketchup. Or Cupid and a heart. Or a dog and a dogcatcher. These pair costumes can be silly, sweet, romantic - anything goes! Other couples prefer to supervene favorite culture when it comes to their Halloween costume. Many couples like to dress up like celebrities or politicians. The Obamas will unmistakably be a favorite option as a Halloween couples costume. Or celebrity couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Or Brittany Spears and K.Fed. Your couples costume can come from today, yesterday or even the future. Why not dress up like aliens from a distant land? Or an animal that hasn't been found yet? Halloween is the ideal time to be creative. The most fun thing about Halloween couples costumes is that this is the ideal time to express your personality as a couple. Are you a funny or sarcastic couple? Then a costume that makes every person laugh will be perfect. Are you the sweet and romantic couple, always whispering sweet nothings into each others' ears? Then a romantic couples costume will be the best choice. Or maybe you want something totally unique - that expresses your pet names for each other. Using Cosmetics To improve Your attractiveness
There are some types of beauty improving cosmetics on the shop today. It is very leading to find out which products are best for you and your completion. The color of your skin will determine what color type you are and what you should stick with or avoid, to look your best. The best part about good cosmetics is that less is more. The less you put on, the more natural you look. No one wants to look made up or have their make-up caked on. |
|
How To Find Out What Season You Are The key to selecting the right colors to improve your beauty is to find out what season you are. Your season will depend on your hair color. You can go onto many cosmetic websites and use their hair color selector to find out which season is the one for you. Many local cosmetic market and kiosks also have trained personnel that can help you as well. The basic idea of how determining your season works is simple. If you have dark, cool hair, that is no red or gold in it, than you are a winter. If your hair is dark and warm, which is with red or gold highlights, then you are an autumn. Light hair works the same way. Spring colors are for those with red and gold highlights and summer is for those without. Once you know your color pallet, you can then pick out what will work for you. Where To Begin: The Foundation The type of foundation you pick to use will be the key to how the rest of your cosmetics work. There are so many types of foundations it can seem like an over whelming process. The three major categories are liquid, powder, and mineral. The liquid foundation is very easy to apply, but harder to blend to give a natural look. Often times it can leave lines when applied too thick, or not the exact skin tone. Powdered foundation is very uncomplicated and can be easily carried with you for re-application if needed. The major complaint with this foundation is the cake look it has when you need to cover up blemishes. To avoid over application use a concealer prior to application on any blemishes you might have. Mineral based foundations are very sleek and simple. They cover blemishes with ease and are easier to blend in so you do not see lines or get a fake look to your skin. No matter which style you choose, make sure you apply the foundation correctly to get a subtler and natural feel and look. The importance I Sticking With Your Color Pallet Once you know your season it is very leading to stick with your color pallet. selecting random colors and tones can greatly influence how natural your make-up looks. You should look like you enhanced your beauty when you are done, not made up. The color pallet will allow you to use colors that work together with your hair color and skin tone, to give you that perfected look. The idea is to improve your features, not over power them. Highlighting your cheekbones and subtly accentuating your eyes will go a long way. The idea of cosmetic application is to not color in your face, but to lightly add to your natural beauty. Always remember, less is more. |

Facial rehearsal is the Best Kept Anti-Aging underground
Nasal labial folds: you know - the folds and lines (wrinkles) that are determined to form into permanent grooves on the side of your mouth, in your cheeks and up to your nose. They're more than just laugh lines. Even if they were formed by laughing, you don't feel like laughing now because every time you see them, you know they are winning the war of aging. |
|
Flabby muscles make you look older; if your arm muscles jiggle, those muscles need exercise. If your thighs look dimply or the skin on your upper inner thigh feels thickly soft, you can firm and tone that area with exercise. The same with a thick waist, a droopy backside or a bulging tummy; practice is the solution. An exercised body looks streamlined; improved posture means you no longer slouch and your tummy looks flatter because your core muscles have new life and strength; they're in good shape from oxygenated blood, contractions and resistance. The face and neck muscles can come to be flabby, too. When these muscles soften and then droop, it is blatantly apparent that something unflattering is occurring. Mind you, aging in the face is sinister because it takes a lot of years for faces to form lines, folds and sags. By age forty, most population are finding the early stages of muscle atrophy when their eyelids feel and look heavy, by fifty, the jaw feels spongy and you see that droopiness is affecting your good looks. The look of old will influence your belief and no matter how you wear your hair, or how much makeup you use, you will still see sagging. You can disguise a multitude of aging in the body by the clothes you wear - black, loose fitting clothing can conceal waist, tummy, hips, thighs and arms but how can you mask aging in the face? Thankfully, there are safe and sane techniques that will save your face and they are easy to master. Facial exercises will swiftly cut off the affected areas of your face and in just minutes a day, you can deliberately, systematically, and consistently help your face look healthier, prettier, and younger. These exercises are not contortions; rather, they are isometric and resistance exercises that will shape and contour your face of course and plainly without the high costs typically linked with cosmetic or plastic surgery. From the moment you begin this predicted transformation process, you will see and feel the divergence in your muscles and skin every time you accomplish the practice movements. Successfully exercising your cheeks to lift those laugh lines requires you to learn how to anchor the muscles near the nose so when they contract they reposition higher near the ear in the hairline. Have you stood in front of your mirror and pulled the hairline up and back just wishing you could iron out those lines that run from the nose to the mouth? Exercise helps this to happen. Not just one exercise. some exercises target definite muscles and muscle groups to contract the cheek muscles up and back to the ear. Contractions and resistance movements plump up the muscles, helps the skin to look healthier from the increased blood provide and gives your face a toned and tightened look. The muscles in the face weave over and under each other; one end attaches to bone, the other end attaches to either skin or other muscle. This means that when the muscles begin their downward slide, they pool into other muscles and muscle groups, depressing the face making one look tired and even old. You can stop this. Surgeons do not want you to know that you can shape and contour your face with facial exercise. They want you to believe that you need injections, surgery and other costly modalities to keep you finding younger. Exercise is so easy and it makes sense. think this, in just minutes a day you can originate graphic changes that will turn into lasting results. In the privacy of your home, using only your thumbs and fingers, you have the power to reshape and contour your face so that you look younger and healthier without surgery, injections or risky procedures. For the rest of your life, this practice schedule will work for you and you can forever look substantially younger. It's the best kept secret! Try the following practice for a few days and see your forehead flat and your eyes lift.

What is the Best Stretch Mark Removal Cream?
There is a lot of hype about stretch marks, this is because they affect a large number of the world's population - especially pregnant women. It is said that up to 90% of pregnant women develop these little blighters. Stretch marks aren't exactly a confidence boosting experience, especially when you're pregnant and feeling fat anyway! |
|
When you develop stretch marks, it becomes your top priority to remove them; this is when some careful research should come in. There are lots of methods of removal such as laser & dermabrasion, however we are not going to focus on them, instead we will focus on removal creams as they much more cost effective and used over time work just as well as cosmetic treatments. There are a lot of creams available to buy, but the one I recommend is "Revitol Stretch Mark Cream". I am going to focus on this cream because I feel it is the most competitively priced for what it has to offer. Revitol cream contains only natural ingredients. This is advantageous to you because you know that no harm is going to come to you by using this treatment, some treatments may contain rogue or banned ingredients which can cause your body more harm then it will good. When choosing what's best for you, make sure where your buying it from is a credible source. For instance make sure that they offer you a money back guarantee, you don't want to be using the treatment for 6 months to find it does nothing. Always ask for some credible testimonials before, any legitimate company will give these. Having stretch marks isn't a pleasant experience, so be sure to work with a product that feels right for you, that is why I have recommended Revitol stretch mark prevention cream, it's formulated to work with anyone. |

Get-Well Wishes After surgical operation - How to ease person
Knowing that someone you care about has just gone through surgery can make you want to relax that person. Life is hard enough, but having to go through surgery is one of those difficult experiences that many of us must face at one time or another. It is nice to know that you can be there for someone when they are going through this difficult time. |
|
If someone you care about has recently had surgery or is scheduled to experience surgery, you indeed want to send them get-well wishes after surgery. But, what is the best way to go about production someone feel your caring and maintain after they have gone through surgery? The write back depends upon a estimate of factors, including your relationship with them, each of your respective personalities, and your budget. Here are some tips for how to relax someone after surgery: 1. Give them a call: Sometimes, the best way to relax someone is to reach out and touch them - with a phone call - after surgery. However, if you take this approach, remember: do not tie them up for too long on the line. He or she will be in salvage mode - and for whatever who has been through surgery, you know how exhausted your body can get. So, just give them a quick call to get them on the line and let them know you care. Then, get off and let them have their rest! 2. Write them a letter: Letter-writing is a lost art. Text messages and e-mail have replaced letter-writing. But, there is no electronic substitute for a good, well-written, thoughtful letter. If the surgery outpatient is your boss or colleague, there is no need to get too mushy: just let them know that you have been thinking about them and that you hope they recover soon. If they are a loved one, it's okay to let your feelings go a bit and tell them how much they mean to you. 3. Pay them a visit: Paying him or her a hospital or home visit is a real sign that you have taken time out of your busy program to relax them. If they are still in the hospital, be sure to call ahead of your visit to check with them (or with the attending nurse) and make sure it is okay to drop by for a quick hello. 4. Bake or cook them something: Nothing communicates your well wishes like a freshly baked cake, batch of cookies, or even a home-cooked meal. Just remember to check first to make sure the surgery outpatient does not have any dietary restrictions, as is tasteless for citizen in the days and weeks after surgery. Otherwise, you could end up eating the food alone! 5. Buy them a gift: If you have the funds for it, a well-chosen gift after surgery can be a whole lot of fun to give (and get!). Hint: make sure that you buy something you think They would want, not something You would want for yourself! In particular, find something that he or she can use to pass the time while their salvage period. |

Beauty: Inner, Outer
Heart is filled with happiness when it sees or feels something beautiful. There is magnetic magic in beauty. In general, any person gets attracted by beauty. It might be an object, nature or a person. If a person goes for beautiful object or nature, it will not change that person's life but if the same goes for a person of beauty, then comes the situation of his or her life being changed. |
|
Regarding binding our lives forever, it is our pleasure and a matter of satisfaction to look for beauty in the other person but it is not always good and healthy to go for outer looks alone. As we often hear the saying, "Beauty is skin deep", we need to look for inner beauty also. When there is outer beauty, one's mind is happy. When there is inner beauty one's soul is happy. Only when there is a balance between these two can there be harmony at a place or between two hearts. It is not always true that a beautiful person is beautiful at heart too and that there will be peace at home. In the present era, youngsters very easily get infatuated and deceived by outer looks and they go ahead without pausing and they very quickly get married prefixing this term 'Marriage' with 'Love.' Later when they get used to that beauty, they start looking for inner beauty rather than outer looks. They repent for what they have done without giving much thought. But all this repentance is in vain as they are already bound with another person. In order to lead a happy life, inner beauty is very important. One can live with a lame or a dumb person. But one cannot lead a happy life with an insensitive and heartless person. For any life to be satisfactory or fulfilling, understanding is essential and primary. So if you plan to marry a person just by getting attracted to that person's looks, pause a little. Observe his or her qualities, mentality, behaviour for a while and then proceed. Never blindly take important decisions in haste. Last but not the least, never judge or compare with any person. No one on this earth is perfect. If you see a beautiful person, you think that person is gifted with happiness. If you see a person who is not that beautiful, you tend to feel sorry for that person. But what do you know? She or he might be leading a very happy life though not beautiful. Though a beautiful person, that being's life might have been a big chaos. So, it is wise to ponder on the truth that true happiness and satisfaction lie in a 'Heart' rather than in 'Skin.' "For eye-catching beauty, live a Life of Grace." - Sharmila Sanka |
Was the Serpent in the Garden of Eden the Devil?
When we review our attitude about serpents today it is hard to grasp the fact that in the original creation the serpent was beyond question the most beautiful, compelling, and desirable of all the animals. He was sage, personable, easy, smooth, and wise. The serpent was a visionary - the one who had all the answers, the weaver of magic spells - the enchanter. Who and what was this serpent? What did he want? Why was he there? Was this serpent the devil? What does the Bible tell us about this that will answer this question? Let us look at that for a moment and as we do, remember that from the Historic Orthodox Christian point of view, we are neither looking at analogy, symbolism, nor mythology. This is historic reality. There is an elitist group of fools today who think they are demonstrating eminent sagaciousness and urbanity by branding Genesis as religious mythology. But all this hapless gaggle of demonic dupes are really proving is that they never learned the lesson of the importance of clothing, particularly as it applies to their back sides. A little later on we will spend some time on mythology. When we do, it will be seen that the host of religious myths throughout the world have sprung up from the Genesis account of the Garden, the Serpent, and the Great Flood. This, by the honest application of legitimate anthropology, is proof-positive of the authenticity of the Bible and the Genesis account. |
|
In every area where religion has been perverted for hundreds of years by pagan beliefs and practices, there is still a common bond and it is the Biblical record. The one which we are looking at here, Eve and the serpent and the Tree, has been told in all eras of man and in every civilization throughout the world. The heathenizing and the corrupting of the Biblical truth through Zorastorism, Hinduism, and other false and bizarre religions cannot obscure the obvious truth that one common source - a truth that has been paramount in the minds of people and tribes of all ages - is where it all began. What does the Bible tell us about the identity of the serpent? Was it the devil himself? Gen. 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Gen. 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Gen. 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Gen. 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Gen. 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Gen. 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. The Identity of the Serpent Was the serpent the devil himself? Was he a representative of the devil, or was he just a created, intelligent being that the devil was able to work through? And if he was a creature that the devil was working and speaking through, was this voluntary or involuntary? Did the serpent have a choice; or was he just the hapless victim of the devil? If the serpent was not the devil but a willing confederate, why did he choose to do this? What motivated him? And what was in it for him or perhaps we should say, what did he think was in it for him? There are Biblical passages that bear on this subject and we want to look at some of them now. St. Paul, speaking of this very time and situation in the Garden of Eden, said to the Church in II Corinthians 11:3, "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." But is this Biblical proof that the serpent was the devil, or does it only indicate that he was being used by the devil? Looking further we find, Revelation 12:9 and 20:2 that the serpent is called "the devil and Satan." But is Revelation not a book of symbols? Is this not only a characterization of Satan as a serpent without actually and literally saying that he is a serpent or was the serpent in the Garden? In John 8:44, Jesus told the false religionists, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." The beginning of which Jesus is speaking cannot refer to the beginning of God who had no beginning, and does not refer to the beginning of Satan since Ezekiel 28:15 says of Satan, "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee" (thus indicating that Satan was not a sinner from the very beginning of his having been created). Jesus can only be referring to the same beginning of which Genesis speaks. It is the beginning of this universe; the beginning of the heavens and the earth and the human race. Satan was a liar from that beginning. In I John 3:8, the Apostle adds to this when he writes, "for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." Here the Bible puts this beginning in the era of man and this creation for it is here that the Son of God was manifested. And then, Ezekiel 28:13 says of Satan, "Thou hast been in Eden the Garden of God," although this may be referring to a happier time with Satan before his fall, somewhere else in a blissful place with God before the creations of the heavens and the earth. What does Historic Christian Orthodoxy make of these Scriptures? The Orthodox Doctrine The devil, who had fallen before the Genesis creation, was in the Garden of Eden. The serpent was not actually the devil, but the devil was not only working through him; he had assumed the serpent's personality. This was done with the cooperation and consent of the serpent who, for some reason which is not identified, had decided to rebel against the Creator and wished to see mankind brought down. Religious thinkers have speculated about the motives of the serpent. Some have said that his wisdom and beauty caused him to become vain and lust for power in the intellectual realms by competing with God philosophically about the truth. Others have thought that he was envious and competitive with man and wanted to replace him as the ruler of the Garden. Still others have thought that the serpent lusted sensually after Eve and wanted to involve her in the forbidden and thus to separate her from Adam. These may be interesting ideas but they can mean no more than that because the Bible does not speak definitively, or even clearly, about it. That Satan is able to assume the personality of others and speak through them and as them is common in the Bible. This is often done on the pages of Scripture, not only by imps and demons, but by Satan himself. In Mark 5:15, 16, we read of a man that Jesus went to see who was possessed of the devil. In this account the devil spoke out from within this man, assuming his voice and personality. In Matthew 16:21-23, we read of a time when Satan assumed the voice and personality of St. Peter, Jesus' own disciple. Jesus turned around and looked at Peter but rebuked Satan who was speaking through him. It may well be that this was not a case of possession; in fact it likely was not. But Jesus makes it unarguably clear that Satan was using Peter to promote his ideas. In deed, there are great theological similarities in these two events. There, Satan used a beautiful and wise creature to bring the race down. Here, he uses the gregarious, spontaneous, likable Peter to try to prevent Christ from going to the Cross to redeem fallen man. Satan was able to do a similar, even more severe, thing with another of Jesus' disciples, Judas Iscariot. John 13:2 says that Satan put it in the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus, but Luke 22:3 says that Satan entered into Judas. After the Resurrection and Pentecost these possessions and mind-manipulations continued to take place. In Acts, 5: 3, St. Peter asked the false man Ananias. "Why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost?" Here St. Peter indicates that Satan was behind this and was the instigator; but that it could not have been done without Ananias' consent. In Acts Chapter 19: 13-16, a more sensational account is given. In this case, false apostles undertook to cast demons out of possessed people. The devils, speaking through these people, defied and chided them by saying, "We know Jesus and we know the Apostle Paul, but we don't know you." Then, in a singular event in Scripture they compelled and empowered these possessed people to jump on the false apostles and do them serious physical harm. The Invisible Hand Behind the Veil The Historic Orthodox Christian position is that the situation in the Garden where Satan assumed the voice and personality of the serpent may be the first such event (at least it is the first recorded) but this phenomenon is not unusual or unique by Biblical norms. One of the high cards that the devil has played through the ages is to make his own reality seem ludicrous to gullible and fallen man. Man thinks he is too sophisticated and intellectual to believe in the devil, even though it is he who has goaded man into atheism, lawlessness, blindness, and unbelief. That suits the devil just fine but it does not suit Historic Orthodox Christianity at all. We believe that men should be aware of the realities and activities of the enemy of the soul. In I Peter 5:8, the Apostles says that Satan is prowling around like a roaring lion (or in other words a stalking or a ravening lion) seeking whom he may devour. We are exhorted be sober and watchful. There Is a Baby In The Bath Water Certainly there have been foolish and incredible things done and said by religious men that have played into the hands of the devil and have added to the idea that Satan is a myth. The charade that goes with this subject in charismatic humanism today - the tacky, impertinent, arrogant, and disrespectful way in which this whole subject of the existence and the works of the devil is treated - does not project spiritual maturity or power. It is an ego-centered, sensual, heady, emotionally unstable thing that discredits its practitioners and gives fuel to the fires of the enemy. Such people would do well to take a lesson from the Bible itself and from the holy angels. In the letter of St. Jude to the Church (he being Thadeous or Judas, one of the original Twelve) the Apostle is warning against lawless independence and disrespect for authority; even those in non-Christian society. St. Jude says that these false religionists think they have a right from God to speak against authorities. "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." Maybe the Only Funeral God Ever Conducted In Deuteronomy 34:5-7, Moses had died. This story is unique for several reasons. First of all, there was nothing physically wrong with Moses. Verse 7 says his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. In other words, his eyesight was sharp and he was in fine health. Moses died voluntarily so that the children of Israel could go into the Promised Land, which they could not do as long as he was alive. The reason for that is another subject which we cannot go into now. This was not a case of suicide. Moses was 120 years old and his life and work had come to an end. He went up into Mount Pisgah with the Lord where he was allowed to look over and see the Promised Land. Then he laid down and died. Another unique aspect to this situation is that the Lord Himself buried Moses and no man knew where his grave was. This was an expression of honor for Moses. The devil did know where the body of Moses was buried and he tried to steal it. God apparently knew that the devil would do this because He sent Michael the Archangel to guard the grave against robbery, presumably until the body had decayed. What Satan wanted with the body of Moses is not clear. Perhaps he wanted to display it to the enemies of Israel in an effort to humiliate and demoralize God's people. This was often done in those days when a great king, leader, or warrior had died. Or maybe he wanted to show it to his imps in the underworld so he could claim that he had killed Moses and defeated God. But whatever the reason, he wanted it and Michael would not let him have it. In the process of contending with this powerful, once honorable, and mighty being, Michael would not insult, chide, or condemn. He refused to get into a name calling argument. He said in effect, "Satan, I am only doing my job. God will have to be the one to rebuke you." The ego-centered, theatrical, disrespectful, and bizarre way that this subject has been, and is being, treated in many instances is not good and undermines biblical credibility on this subject. Yet in spite of the fact that in some quarters of Christianity this subject is handled poorly, we must not throw the baby out with the bath water. We are commanded to resist the devil and the Bible does give us much information about his activities. A few will serve to dramatize Satan's reality and the kinds of things he is up to for the benefit of the misinformed and/or the uninformed. There is a scene in the book of Daniel which reveals some startling and intriguing things about the devil, his reality, and activities. In this story Daniel, who is in captivity in Babylon, has been having prophetic visions. One of them was so troubling and mysterious that it made Daniel sick. In Chapter 10, Daniel has been praying earnestly for the meaning to a vision and also for the deliverance of his people; apparently without success, but he perseveres. At last, in verse 10, a great angel, not Michael and probably Gabriel, appears. He tells Daniel that he had been dispatched to bring Daniel the answer three weeks earlier but he was delayed. A mighty evil angel (some believe the devil himself, others think it was one of his chief lieutenants identified here as the Prince of Persia) seized Gabriel and would not let him go. So intense was this struggle that it lasted for 21 days. Finally, Gabriel had to call for Michael to help him. He was so exhausted when the struggle was over he had to stay where he was for some time in order to regain his strength. To put this matter in perspective would take a study in itself, but the point here is to show how intimately and powerfully Satan and his hosts are at work in this world and its affairs. Many people are familiar with the story in the book of Job where Satan got in line with God's servants and came up before God. God asked Satan what he had been doing and he replied that he had been walking up and down in the earth and looking around. God asked Satan if he had taken notice of the righteous and faithful man Job. This may reveal a behind-the-scenes drama where Satan had been arguing that the Fall, which he had engineered in the Garden, was working and that God's whole creation was turning against Him and to Satan. In any event, God brings the example of Job to Satan's attention. This angered Satan and he accused God of partiality toward Job in order to buy his loyalty. Then God allows a situation to develop that shows that Job loves and worships and serves God because God is God; and Job, the man of faith, believes in God. Historic Orthodox Christianity does not believe that Satan is still able to come up before God in His throne but that he lost this power and privilege at the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. This is taught, we believe in Luke 10:18, Hebrews 2:14, 15 and Revelation 12: 9. These passages reveal that Satan fell from heaven, indeed he was cast out, and he was cast down to the earth. This is his only sphere of influence now. The power of death that he had before, in whatever it consisted of, was destroyed by the Cross. One of the most remarkable stories about Satan and his activities is found in several of the gospels concerning the wilderness temptations of Christ. In these accounts Satan is arguing with Jesus; he is quoting the Bible to Him; he is trying to trick Him by misrepresenting what faith is; he is trying to tempt Him on the basis of His physical and material needs; and he is even able to take physical hold upon Jesus and move Him through the air from the wilderness to the pinnacle of the Temple in Jerusalem. Jesus' defense and example is worthy of note. He would not argue, scoff, insult, or threaten. He simply said, "It is written." St. Paul makes it clear that the Christian struggle is not against the mythologists, the philosophers, the evolutionists, or the false religionists directly. The conflict is with the evil hand that is manipulating behind the scenes. It is Satan, working through these things by assuming their form and voice, who is the real enemy. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood," he said in Ephesians 6:12, "But against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." The serpent was not the devil, but he was in league with the devil for his own reasons. The devil had assumed his personality and voice. God acknowledged that union and closeness when he addressed the devil through the serpent and said to Satan while speaking to the serpent, "I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between your seed and her seed. It shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel." The Born Loser Two facts are evidenced by the final result of the serpent's participation. First, the serpent received his own judgment, condemnation, and sentence showing that he was a distinct personality and creature from the devil. And then, the serpent himself was tricked by the devil, used by him, destroyed by that unholy alliance, and cast aside when he was no longer needed or useful. It was all going to b so nice, so grand, and so wonderful, but it did not work out that way in the end. He never got what he was promised. He did not get the control of the Garden; he did not get the praise and admiration of the creatures of the Garden; and he did not get the girl. What he got instead was a demotion to the lowest, most humiliating, and most despised station in life. He got the hatred of humanity, and a heel on the head from the Seed of the Woman whom he compromised. And so it has ever been with cheaters, thieves, rebels, fools, liars, suckers, and unbelievers who go that same garish way, following the spangled path they think is leading to a pot of gold; but which is actually the reflection of the setting sun upon the slimy trail left by the slithering serpent that leads downward to the pit. |
Breast Cancer Fundraiser Ideas That in fact Work
There is a tragic disease that seems to affect nearly every person in the United States in some way or another. Approximately every person knows someone, maybe even themselves, who has been hurt by this terrible ailment. What is it? Breast cancer. And it doesn't only attack women.
As of 2007, nearly 190,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer and 41,000 of them lost their fight. Approximately 2,000 men received the same prognosis and 400 of them succumbed to the disease. Because this is such a wide spread ailment, there is a lot of investigate that is being done to learn how to accurate it or at least limits its deadliness.
The big cancer investigate organizations consist of the American Cancer community and the Mayo Clinic. There have also been some major cancer fundraising organizations pop up that help keep the big investigate groups. The biggest and most predominant is the Susan G Komen foundation.
Susan G Komen is most widely known for their races that they manufacture in every major city in the country. They have fun runs, 5k's, 10k's, marathons, and ultra marathons. They typically raise alot of money and alot of awareness with these events. Someone else of their favorite events is the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk that sees participants walking 60 miles over 3 days to show their keep for breast cancer research.
Many individuals or groups of habitancy will take raising money for breast cancer investigate upon themselves. One favorite and organized way of doing this is by participating in a Relay for Life event. Otherwise, the cancer investigate firms are all the time finding for donations and are incredibly appreciative when individuals or small groups make donations.

How To Choose The Best Tiles For Your Bathroom
If you're considering remodelling your bathroom or just trying to give it a new lease of life then you should look at using tiles as part of your plan. These tiles work well on the floor, walls and even in the shower. What's more they come in a dizzying variety of styles and designs so you'll have plenty to choose from and will definitely find something to match your bathroom decor plans. Ceramic tiles have been used in homes all over the world for centuries and offer an excellent way to add some texture and pattern to your bathroom. |
|
Now we can have a look at the different types of ceramic tiles available on the market today. First off we have glazed ceramic tile which is better suited to bathroom walls and work surfaces or countertops. Why? Because this type of tile is very slippery when wet and is pretty much your last choice for a bathroom floor. The tile itself is made from clay and water and is then "fired" or baked to harden it. Once finished it's given a colored glaze which gives it a glossy finish - which is why it's so slippery when it gets wet. The next type of tile is porcelain and this is made from a blend of fine-grain clays and other minerals creating a very moisture and stain-resistant product. Because of this porcelain tiles can take years of hardship whilst keeping their color and inherent beauty. One of the really neat things about tiling your bathroom is that you get to experiment with vivid colors and unusual designs. You can toy with wall patterns and shapes to make your bathroom really striking. Consider using a solid background of tiles combined with brighter accent tiles. Or how about adding a few decorative tiles on a solid tile background such as in a classic floral or seascape or funky art mosaic to for a truly distinctive look on your bathroom walls? Tiling the floor of your bathroom is usually the most time consuming part. This usually takes 2 - 3 days to complete from start to finish. A good tip when considering types of tiles for a bathroom floor is that tiles are evaluated for wear resistance on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). A PEI-1 or Light Traffic rating is recommended for areas such as bathrooms where shoes are not consistently worn. This is just a guideline that you can work from. The best choices for your bathroom floor are granite, slate or sandstone in terms of finish and safety. They have a high slip tolerance so when they're wet they're far safer to walk on then say ceramic tiles. They also add a degree of "earthiness" to the room and make it feel that bit more "homely". Some people worry that having tiles in the bathroom makes the room a little bit more cold - both literally and metaphorically. If this is a real concern for you then simply fit a tile warming system to keep the floor warm during those cold spells during the year. With no costly ductwork or plumbing requirements, this system's installation is normally quite straighforward. |
What is Success and How Do We Achieve It?
To be clear about what success is must be the first step to achieving success. |
|
So far, the best definition I have come across is: "Success is the completion of anything intended." In other words success is finishing what you planned to do. Even robbing a bank is a kind of success if that is what you wished to do. However, you probably did not intend to end up in prison! The above definition of success shines a light on failure and success. Make a plan and follow it and you will have succeeded. Make a plan and do not follow it and you will have failed. This gives a yard stick for judging every day of our lives. We can say at the end of the day "I have failed" or "I have succeeded." This may seem very obvious but it is amazing that only about 85% of the human race end up doing what they intended. I asked several people what they thought success was. One person said that "Success is making loads of money." Another said that success is "Achieving your goals". Some one else said that success is "Fulfilling your potential". An interesting answer was that success is "Making others jealous". Brian Tracy agrees with the connection between success and goals. He has said "Success is goals, and all else is commentary." Tracy believes that people with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them. Stuart Goldsmith in "The Midas Method" has an important section on how to set goals so that they are achieved using the full power of the subconscious mind. Maria Nemeth gives this definition of success: "Doing what you said you would do, with ease". "Doing what you said you would do" is currently not achieved by the majority of the human race especially politicians! Doing it with ease is achieved by even fewer and requires making the most of the subconscious mind. Jim Rohn argues that success is just a few simple disciplines practised daily. The power of daily discipline is HUGE. Because the discipline is practised daily the effect is cumulative. The good practice is carried out 365 times a year with, perhaps, a few lapses. It cannot fail to have tremendous influence. Once the discipline becomes a daily habit, it can be forgotten about until the rewards start coming in. The writer who writes every day has written well over 300 pages by the end of the year. If he or she does not write every day they lose momentum and inspiration. If they keep up the writing (even just a few words a day) a magnet for relevant thoughts develops. Recently a Liverpool student of American media studies applied for 600 jobs and received only one interview which he failed. He decided to write a novel. He determined to complete ten pages a day. He worked in the evenings at a dead end job to make money and then wrote until about 5 in the morning at his novel which has now become famous. It also looks like becoming a Hollywood blockbuster film. He points out that if you write only one page a day for 100 days you can write a screen play. He wrote his novel by studying the structure of two other novels and noticing how they were structured and wrote his screenplay after studying video of films and noticing how long each scene lasted before there was a change. I can't remember his name or the name of his book as I just happened to hear part of his interview on television. The practice of daily disciplines alone can change our lives totally. Another benefit of daily disciplines is that they quickly create habits and habits create character. A great quote by Jim Ryun, the American Athlete, is as follows "Motivation is what gets you started.
Another brilliant quote is: "Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value." Albert Einstein The next quote says more or less the same thing: "Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it." Henry David Thoreau Many would argue that success is not about making money but about developing oneself into a person who is valuable to others. However, this quite often will lead to making money because people will pay for value. Any one who is very good at their job can usually command whatever pay they wish. Adam Hollioake is one of the most successful English county cricket captains. He realised what is important in life when his brother Ben was killed in a car accident in Perth Australia. Adam learned that he should be kind to people and have fun and "that's what life is about." His view of success in cricket is not necessarily winning. He is not afraid to lose a cricket match. He is only concerned that his team put 100% effort into the game. He comments: "If we do put that effort in we usually win anyway". Success then is putting in 100% effort whatever the results. More often than not, however, the results will be excellent. Michael Angier has a great definition of success. "Success is the result of steadily taking action on our most important goals. When we consistently focus our energies and our efforts upon what matters most, we can't help but be successful". Angier also admires Ralph Waldo Emerson's comments on success: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; this is to have succeeded." What are the causes of failure and success? William James, the great American psychologist, puts failure down to lack of faith in one self "There is but one cause of human failure. And that is man's lack of faith in his true self." Faith in one self is a huge part of success. Stuart Goldsmith in "The Midas Method" talks about two kinds of belief that are necessary for success. You must believe that you deserve to succeed and you must believe that you have the ability to succeed. Another big cause of success is discipline. "The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term is the indispensable prerequisite for success." Brian Tracy Another cause is the willingness to try to succeed even if the possiblity of success is remote. "Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead." Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) American Writer My computer guru, Danny believes that you should hold on to your dream in all circumstances and never let go. Grab hold of your vision with an iron fist and even if you are down on your luck and in the gutter never give up. Danny himself has held on to a dream for 22 years. His dream is to develop the best languages translator in the world. It does not matter if you are 72 - grab hold of your dream. Actually visualize your hand holding on to that dream. Too many people are worn down by life and give up their dreams. Every dream is personal but the principle is the same. You are an idiot if you let go. You have to have a reason for living. Set yourself a goal and never let go until you die. There is nothing you can't do. If you can't swim 10 lengths without a rest, train for a few months and you will be able to swim 50 lengths. Danny's comments about swimming reminded me about how little is taught at school about how training can improve your abilities. At my school in the Isle of Man, there was an annual half mile swim in the sea. I knew I would drown if I attempted this but no one ever suggested that I start training hard so that I would be capable of completing the swim. I was just classified as someone who could not do the swim. It did not occur to me that through determined training I would be able to do what I could not previously do. When Danny was young he was a skinny weakling. But one day he decided that this was not a good thing. He filled out and did some weight training and set up his own fitness, strength and flexibility routine. He performs this every other day. This avoids the boredom of a daily routine. He does 200 situps, 30-50 leg raises and three or four sets of 20-30 bench presses. He also does 2 sets of 20 or 30 squats with dumbells to develop leg power. The dumbbells avoid the danger of overbalancing with a barbell across your shoulders. There is also little likelihood that you will drop the dumbbells on children or family pets! Dumbells allow for greater control than barbells. Danny's advice for success is to do something. If in doubt, read a book. The worst thing you can do is sit on your backside watching TV. If you do, nothing will ever happen. He notes the hypnotic effect of TV on the spectators. Danny seldom ever watches TV. Danny also is impressed by Arnold Schwarzenegger who has just been elected Governor of California. If Arnold wants something, he does what is necessary to get that thing. If he had to eat 50 mars bars, he would eat them. If he had to stand stark naked on his head in a field for half an hour he would. This is an example to us all. If you have to put stamps on thousands of envelopes to send out your direct mail sales letters, you just have to do it. The basic principle is that you have to do what is required. Some things require certain actions to achieve them and you have to do them whether you like doing them or not. It is no good saying I want to be Governor of California but I don't want to do any public speaking or travel on the campaign trail or be friendly to thousands of people you don't like. You have to pick up babies and smile at people you may not like. If you want to be rich you have to do those things which will make you rich. It's no good saying "I don't really want to do it." Danny gives himself a virtual smack round the head every time he is tempted to give up on his projects. Some people think they will make money by taking short cuts like suing people or fraud. The world would be a much better place if people just got on with doing what they had to do. Many successful people stress the importance of action in achieving success. Michael Masterson of the Ezine "Early to Rise" writes:"Action is the key to success, and failure to act is the reason most people will never achieve the kind of success they dream about" Another approach to achieving success is to stay cool about it. Just get on with doing what you think is important and what you love to do. "Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally." Sir David Frost Elvis Presley gave his cousin Donna some advice to help her achieve her goals for the future. It seems good advice to me: Donna's best memory of Elvis was when she was 18 and she spoke to him one on one. He asked her about her plans for the future and told her she could achieve anything she wanted "so long as you have faith in God;have faith in yourself; work hard and never let anyone tell you, you can't do something". Elvis himself had plenty of discouragement which he successfully ignored. The later part of his life was not too successful but as Donna commented, we should focus on what he did achieve which was amazing. Peter Vidmar explains how he achieved success at the Olympic Games: "There's only two things I had to do to win the Olympic gold: Train when I wanted to, and train when I didn't." This is possibly my favourite quote of all time. It sums up the essence of success and the will power and discipline necessary to achieve it. Sometimes training will be easy but sometimes it will take effort because one really does not feel like training. This is simple and beautifully easy to understand. Another quote I like is concerned with the kind of success which depends on people liking your work or product. Don't worry about whether they will like your work. Just do your best and leave the liking or disliking up to them. "Success has a simple formula: 'Do your best and people may like it'". Sam Ewing Any success involves some kind of cost; usually some boring work is involved as suggested in the following quote. The word 'drudgery' sums this kind of work up exactly. Almost any kind of business involves marketing and marketing is the last thing many businessmen enjoy doing. "Success is the child of drudgery and perseverance. It cannot be coaxed or bribed; pay the price and it is yours". Orison Swett Marden, 1850-1924. Mike Litman comes up with golden statements frequently. Here is just one of them: "The biggest secret of success in life is: You don't have to get it right; you just have to get it going. Perfectionism can kill success. We never get going because we are always waiting to get everything just right. Instead, let's get going." One success breeds another. Bobby Robson, now over 70, is one of Britain's most successful managers. He should know what creates success. He recently commented about his team's performances: "Success breeds success" This makes sense. Write one successful book and you will have the confidence to write another. A lady over 70 wrote a book about overcoming the pain of arthritis. It was a huge success to her total amazement and made hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not surprisingly she has now written two more books. Success is a key goal for most people but it helps to have a clear idea of what success means to you. I hope this article will have shed some light on possible definitions of success and provided some ideas about how you can achieve your kind of success. 2500 |
